The Emergency Management Coordinator, under the direction of the County Administrator, is charged with maintaining the framework necessary to effectively mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from both natural and human-caused emergencies. This includes coordinating the overall emergency response within the community. This task is accomplished by way of instituting a "whole community" approach involving government, voluntary organizations, private sector partners, and the public.
