#6511- Deputy Sheriff - Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for an open full-time Deputy Sheriff position. Must be willing to be trained and work in both Courts and Patrol.  Alternate shift may be required. DCJS certified individuals are preferred and will receive a $3,000 sign on bonus. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency, and be 21 years of age.
• Complete a thorough background investigation.
• Successfully complete a physical and psychological examination.
• Must be become DCJS trained and certified within one (1) year.
• Candidates must possess a current valid operator’s license.  

Compensation:

Salary is dependent upon experience, education and certifications.  Starting pay range for non-certified law enforcement officer is $16.46-$18.92 per hour, and $17.37-$19.97 per hour for LEO or Court Security/ Civil Process certified candidate, depending upon other qualifications.
