Temporary Part-Time Registrar Clerk - Fluvanna Co. Registrar's Office
Job Status:
Open - open and accepting applications
Hourly Rate: $14.64 per hour
Status: Temporary Part-Time; not benefits eligible
Schedule: As needed; hours may fluctuate from approximately 20 or more hours per week during election season
The County of Fluvanna Registrar’s Office is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Part-Time Registrar Clerks to assist with Early Voting Precinct operations and provide administrative support during election periods.
This position is ideal for candidates who are organized, dependable, comfortable working with confidential information, and committed to providing excellent customer service to the public.
Essential Duties:
The Temporary Part-Time Registrar Clerk will assist with a variety of clerical, administrative, and election-related responsibilities, including:
- Maintaining accurate voter records and election statistics; entering and updating data;
- Assisting with the handling of confidential information; supporting early voting and other election processes;
- Performing related duties in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and established procedures.
Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Registrar or designee.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, supplemented by related clerical experience.

Candidates must be able to:
- Maintain confidentiality;
- Provide courteous and professional customer service;
- Accurately enter and review information;
- Follow established procedures;
- Perform basic mathematical tasks; Manage competing priorities; and
- Work effectively in a fast-paced election environment.
Physical Requirements:
This position may require occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
