IAC Open House invitation

In an effort to recruit more organizations to join efforts towards improving local resources and services, the Fluvanna County Interagency Council (IAC) is hosting an Open House breakfast event on Thursday, March 1, 2018, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Fluvanna County Library. Organizations or agencies that serve residents in Fluvanna, or faith-based organizations that serve congregations in Fluvanna, are invited to attend. The Open House will include a free breakfast and opportunity for attendees to meet IAC members and learn about the IAC, including council members, current and future projects, and how to join the interagency council.

“We hope that this Open House will provide an opportunity for other local organizations to learn about the IAC and join our efforts to improve the lives of all Fluvanna residents,” said Kim Mabe, IAC Chair, Director of Fluvanna County Department of Social Services.

“The Fluvanna IAC has been in existence for years and we’d like to see more involvement from a variety of organizations,” said Bertha Armstrong, Fluvanna County Rural Outreach Director for Fluvanna MACAA. “The importance of why we come together is to participate, help make decisions, and work together to make programs more available for our communities.”

The Fluvanna IAC is a network of human service agencies and organizations committed to improving resources and services to meet the needs of the Fluvanna community. The IAC vision is a community that partners to improve the quality of lives. “There are many great programs and services in Fluvanna County that many people may not be aware of,” said Mozell Booker, Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors. “The [Fluvanna] IAC is dedicated to promoting these services and collaborating with other organizations to further improve the lives of all Fluvanna residents.”
