Parks & Recreation Administrative Services Specialist

HVAC Specialist

Position Summary:

Fluvanna County is seeking an HVAC Specialist to perform skilled, journeyman-level work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems across County facilities. This role inspects and tests high- and low-pressure refrigerant systems to diagnose faults and malfunctions, completes repairs by replacing components or adjusting controls/blowers, and ensures compliance with applicable federal environmental and refrigerant-handling requirements.

Library Assistant II

Position Summary

Fluvanna County Public Library is seeking a Library Assistant II to support day-to-day library operations while helping design and deliver engaging educational and cultural programming for the community. This position plays a hands-on role in creating programs such as school field trips, story times, summer/winter camps, after-school clubs, and other activities for children, teens, and adults. The ideal candidate is creative, service-oriented, and enjoys helping patrons learn, explore, and access library resources.

Historic Courthouse Restoration Project Begins

Work on the Historic Courthouse Restoration Project begins on Monday, March 9, 2026 and is anticipated to last through the end of the year. 

Parking around the Historic Courthouse will be restricted during this time, as will access to and around the Historic Courthouse. 

Access to the Weaver Building will be available by a staircase across from the Fluvanna County Public Works Department (located at 197 Main Street). Access will also be available on the east side of the Historic Courthouse via a staircase located off of Court Sq.
