The Fluvanna Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office seeks a full-time paralegal/legal assistant.   The ideal candidate must possess a professional demeanor, demonstrate excellent communication skills and attention to detail and be able to work with minimal supervision.   Prior experience in a prosecutor’s office or criminal law firm is preferred.

The County of Fluvanna is recruiting for the position of Building Services Worker I. This position is a full-time non-exempt position that performs custodial duties to include County-owned buildings and grounds, using prescribed chemicals and machinery. Duties will also include some minor maintenance and repair functions.  Work is performed under limited supervision.

This position is classified as Essential Personnel and may be called upon to work during weather closures and emergencies.

The County of Fluvanna, Virginia is seeking sealed proposals from qualified firms capable of providing and delivering to the County a Compressor Storage and Filling System compatible with its Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (“SCBA”) and related equipment and associated other equipment. The Products are for use by the County and the volunteer fire and rescue organizations in the County of Fluvanna, Virginia.

The Thomas Jefferson Health District (TJHD) will host a free COVID-19 drive-through testing clinic this Saturday, April 25th in Palmyra for symptomatic individuals that live in the greater-Fluvanna area (like Buckingham and Louisa). People must call in advance to be screened to determine eligibility for testing and to schedule an appointment.
