Position Summary

Fluvanna County is seeking an HVAC Assistant to support our HVAC/R Specialist with the installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of HVAC/R systems across County facilities. This role helps inspect and test high/low-pressure heating systems, diagnose malfunctions, and support repairs by replacing parts and adjusting controls/blowers. The position also supports compliance with EPA/federal environmental requirements related to refrigerants and hazardous materials.

Summary

The employee is responsible for technical work involving emergency medical care, prevention activities, training, physical fitness, and performing other work as required. Individuals in this position must have the ability to interact positively with volunteer personnel based on the structure of emergency services in Fluvanna County. Work involves the operation of both County and Volunteer emergency equipment, with responsibilities to include maintaining, cleaning, and performing minor repairs of all EMS apparatus and equipment.

Hiring Range: $19.14/hr - $22.01/hr | Benefits Eligible | Non-exempt

Summary
Performs skilled clerical work providing administrative support services in the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office; does related work as required.  Work is performed under the general supervision.
