The Fluvanna County Library is seeking a Full time, non-exempt Library Assistant to support the programming and operational needs of the public library. 

Duties include:  Assisting with preparations for age-appropriate educational programming for children, teens, adults, and groups, including summer and winter reading programs; Providing research reference and advisory services to patrons; Performing general circulation duties including checking in/out materials, receiving payment for fines, and creating library cards.

Crews will stabilize the slope to protect the travel lanes; road reduced to one lane

CULPEPER — Motorists traveling on Route 53 (Thomas Jefferson Parkway) in Albemarle County are advised to plan extra travel time and to expect delays in November while the Virginia Department of Transportation works on the slope adjacent to the travel lanes.

JAMES RIVER WATER AUTHORITY STATEMENT ON ALLEGATION REGARDING ARCHEOLOGICAL CONSULTANT

FLUVANNA COUNTY, VIRGINIA - The James River Water Authority (JRWA) was recently made aware of serious allegations about an archaeological consultant who has worked on the James River water supply project. Those allegations were made by a former employee of the consultant and relate to archeological studies that were conducted by the consultant for JRWA in 2017 and 2018. JRWA takes those allegations very seriously and is conducting an investigation of the consultant’s work on the project.
