CVSC is a public shooting range that offers wobble trap, 5-stand, a sporting clays course,and instruction. The Owner (Brad Landseadel) is an NSCAAA class shooter and an NSCA shooting instructor. CVSC was born when Brad was thinking about relocating here from Northern Virginia and realized that Central Virginia did not have many facilities for sporting clays shooters.

The family has been in the orchard business for five generations. The orchard started in 1929 in Winchester, VA, but in 2000, grandfather Robert Solenberger asked if he could plant “a few” apple trees in the front yard here in Palmyra so the grandkids could learn about the family business. He showed up with 900 apple trees, and life hasn’t been the same since. Now Fruit Hill Orchard has over 2,000 fruit trees and annually plant thousands of other vegetables.

Come join us and experience nature first hand at Fluvanna County’s Pleasant Grove Park. With the Rivanna River and adjacent forests and fields, we have every type of Piedmont Virginia habitat represented in the Park. Over 20 miles of trails run through these habitats which contain a diverse population of wildflowers, animals and birds. Our river habitat is host to river otters, eagles and ducks while in our untended grassy fields you will see many songbirds, hawks, and rabbits. Walk our tree identification trail and learn the names of our many native Virginia trees.
