The Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors is requesting sealed proposals from qualified firms to provide for the furnishing, delivery, installation, and implementation of merchant services for the processing of payment cards for County fees, taxes, payments, costs, charges, and related amounts payable to the County of any kind.

The garden is conveniently located at Pleasant Grove Park and was developed jointly by the Virginia Cooperative Extension, Fluvanna Master Gardeners and FCPR. The garden promotes productive gardening practices and conserving resources to enhance the surrounding environment. It is also provides gardening opportunities for the physical and social benefit of the people and neighborhoods of Fluvanna County.

John Jasper, one of Fluvanna's most famous African American residents, was born into slavery in 1812 and spent his childhood in the county. After spending time in Louisiana and Richmond, VA, he had a religious awakening in 1839 whilst in the Virginian capital. Self-taught, he became a prominent Baptist minister and travelled the entire state preaching while still enslaved. Freed at the end of the Civil War, he founded the Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Richmond, which quickly became one of the largest black congregations in the city. He died in Richmond in 1901.

Husband and wife team who are certified massage therapists own and operate Soothing Moments Massage; they offer a variety of massages to soothe or provide tension relief; also offer reflexology foot massage.

The Board of Supervisors is the policy-making and adjudicating body of the County.  The Board is comprised of five Supervisors, each representing one of the County’s five voting districts:  Columbia, Cunningham, Fork Union, Palmyra, and Rivanna.  Supervisors are elected by citizens to four-year terms.

Two Labs Coffee focuses on small batch specialty roasts for consistent excellent coffee. We sell whole and ground beans direct to customers,shops, and coffee retailers. Sold at Mailbox Express, Local Eats, and EW Thomas, and served at Wahoo BBQ, Two Labs Coffee also partners with local organizations who receive donations from every bag sold!

Led by Kim Munson, Holistic Outreach for Veterans (HOV) aims to help vets deal with their traumas by offering a range of treatment options, at no charge. Licensed and trained volunteers meet monthly to offer massage, meditation, reiki, aroma therapy, and balancing exercises that give way for the body and spirit’s natural ability to heal and recover from trauma.
