Fire and rescue, emergency medical services, and emergency management programs are provided through the concerted efforts of the Office of Emergency Services, Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Fluvanna Volunteer Fire Department, and Fluvanna Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Commonwealth's Attorney

The Commonwealth's Attorney for Fluvanna County is the prosecuting attorney in criminal cases in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, the General District Court, and the Circuit Court. The Commonwealth’s Attorney handles civil matters, such as forfeitures, which are authorized by statute.

Children's Services Act (CSA)

If your child is under 18, or in some cases, under 22*, and has, or is at risk of having serious emotional or behavioral difficulties, you may be eligible to get help through the Virginia Children's Services Act (CSA) for At-Risk Youth and Families which provides assistance to children and their families in need of services from multiple agencies.
