How do I obtain a dog license in Fluvanna County?

All dogs are required to have a Fluvanna County Dog License obtained through the Fluvanna County Treasurer’s Office. The license is due by January 31st of each year. Proof of rabies vaccination is required before a license can be issued.

Fluvanna Animal Protection is a unit of the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office. The division consists of two Animal Protection Officers.

The mission of the Animal Protection Division is to support responsible pet ownership, humane treatment of animals, compliance with statutes and ordinances for the control and protection of animals.
