2025-04 RFP Containerized Live Fire Training Structure

The County of Fluvanna (the “County”) has received a grant (the “Grant”) award from the Virginia Department of Fire Programs (“VDFP”) for the construction of a new Containerized Live Fire Training Structure to assist in training the fire service for the Fluvanna area. Pursuant to this Request for Proposals (the “RFP”), the County is seeking proposals from qualified licensed firms (“Contractor” or “Offeror”) to assist in the construction of a Prototype IV, Class B Containerized Live Fire Training Structure.

Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) Solid Waste Management Plan Survey

The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) invites community members to participate in a survey to inform the region's five-year update to the Solid Waste Management Plan. The goal of this regional plan is to help Albemarle, Charlottesville, Greene, and Fluvanna Counties achieve state-mandated recycling goals and reduce landfill waste over the next 20 years. 

Victim Witness Program Assistant - PT/No Benefits

The Victim/Witness Program Assistant provides intermediate level support to the Victim/Witness Manager in the daily administration of the Victim/Witness Program and coordinates services for crime victims and witnesses involved in the criminal justice process. This position serves as a primary point of contact for individuals impacted by crime, providing coordination of services such as, trauma-informed advocacy, court support, and information throughout the lifecycle of a criminal case.

Thomas Jefferson Area Community Criminal Justice Board

The CCJB’s mission is to enable participating localities to work together to develop community-based pretrial court services and post-conviction alternatives to incarceration for misdemeanants and certain nonviolent felons.

The participating localities include Albemarle, Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Goochland, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Orange County. The Board meetings happen quarterly to discuss trends in crime and incarceration, and to consider proven alternatives to incarceration that enhance long-term public safety goals.
