Message from Sheriff Hess

To the Citizens of Fluvanna County:

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing responsive and effective service to the community. Our goal is to fulfill this commitment by establishing partnerships within our community, developing professional staff, and dedicating our resources and skills to these efforts.

Fluvanna County Interagency Council

The Fluvanna County Interagency Council is comprised of over 25 local and regional human service organizations.

Mission:    A network of human service agencies and organizations committed to improving resources and services to meet the needs of the Fluvanna community.

Vision:       A community that partners to improve the quality of lives.

Fluvanna-Louisa Housing Foundation

The Foundation is a private non-profit organization dedicated to helping residents of both Fluvanna and Louisa Counties with their housing needs.

We provide services and programs that help income eligible citizens afford and improve their living conditions, stay in their homes longer, and live safely in the community.

Human Services Resources Directory

The Human Resources Directory is a listing of the services available to people in the Fluvanna community.  There are services for youth, adults, seniors, victims, victims families, etc. 

 

Dog Tags

All dogs are required to have a Fluvanna County Dog License. The license is due by January 31st of each year. Proof of rabies vaccination is required before a license can be issued.

FEE SCHEDULE

Male or female dog $8.00
Unsexed dog (male or female) $4.00
Kennel tag (not more than 20 dogs) $40.00
Kennel tag (not more than 50 dogs) $50.00

PAYMENT OPTIONS

County Decals

Fluvanna County NO LONGER requires a county decal to be displayed on the front windshield of vehicles next to the State inspection sticker.

The County will still collect the associated license fee. This fee will be included on the Personal Property Tax bill due on June 5th of each year. See County Code Section 15-2 Motor Vehicle License Fee for details. Motorcycle: $18.00 and Car, truck, etc.: $33.00
