Patrol Operations

The Patrol Section falls under the Field Operations Division and is currently led by Lieutenant Patrick Wood and four (4) patrol sergeants.

K-9

The K-9 Deputy is a part of our patrol unit.  Deputy Greene met his canine partner Alexander Vom Altice "Alex" in October 2009.Alex was purchased from a Johnson City Officer and bred in Indiana.  Alex came with some training before he was assigned to Deputy Greene.  Deputy Greene works diligently with Alex to make sure both he and Alex are fully trained in all aspects of their job.  Alex is a Belgian Malinois trained in narcotics detection, patrol, and tracking.   As a team, Deputy Greene and Alex's training consist of multiple scenarios ranging from foot pursuits, building searches, buildi

This agency is currently investigating the disappearance of Janet Renee Field, age 49, of Hickory Hill Drive in Scottsville, VA.  Field was last seen on July 2, 2014 by her husband at their dwelling.  Field's car was located July 4th. It is a 2010 burgundy Subaru Forrester, VA registration WNP2591, and it was located at the Zion's Crossroads Park & Ride.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office at 434-589-8211.

Illegal drugs are an increasing danger in our society. If you or someone you know is using illegal narcotics, get the help that is needed and call the Sheriff’s Office at: (434) 589-8211.  The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office has a dedicated narcotics investigator who specializes in investigating illegal drug activity and works in conjunction with the Virginia State Police.
