(Charlottesville, Va.) – Thomas Jefferson Health District (TJHD) Environmental Health offices and services, including vital records, will be closed on Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18, 2019, for staff training. Services will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH), including TJHD, will be migrating to a new data system state-wide on June 20, 2019. For about 7 to 10 days, some Environmental Health services that rely on the use of our database will be interrupted.

The County of Fluvanna is recruiting for the position of Park Maintenance Worker. This is a part-time position that performs a variety of under general supervision, the Park Maintenance Worker maintains the appearance and safety of County park landscaping, trails, disc golf course, and recreation features. Duties include grounds keeping, landscaping, and the construction and maintenance of public trails and a disc-golf course. This is a seasonal position that runs from March 1st through October 31st.

The Central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Training Academy is scheduled for our on-site assessment beginning Monday, June 17, 2019 and ending Wednesday, June 19, 2019 to examine all aspects of our department's policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services.
