Cherry Red was born from Steve Pollock's goal to put together a group to do the music of the Rolling Stones in an authentic way. using the alternate, open tuning the Keith Richards uses to give the Stones their unique sound. We successfully capture the feel and attitude of the Rolling Stones when we perform the timeless music of the World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band.

Slingshot on Mars

Slingshot on Mars is a 4-piece Jam-Rock band from Richmond, creating original music and playing eclectic covers. Inspired by acts like the Greatful Dead, Phish, Allman Brothers- Slingshot on Mars brings a mixture of jam, rock, blues, fun, & new grass to their live shows. Featuring member from Virginia premiere bands "Last Fair Deal", "The Lawn Boys", and local Richmond band "Night Allowance". SOM recentley recorded and EP in Januauary of 2026, which will be released in Spring of 2026.

Andy Tichenor's Almost Acoustic

Almost Acoustic is Andy Tichenor's latest project. While it's hard to deny the influence that Jerry Garcia has on him, with Almost Acoustic, Andy taps into his folk roots and leans toward the bluegrass spectrum while keeping the same vibe that the Jam Band community has come to know and love. Almost Acoustic consists of both traditional and non-traditional aspects of bluegrass, such as Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Upright Bass, with the addition of Percussion to fill out a thundering rhythm section. Featuring strong vocals/harmonies and powerful instrumental leads, providing a balance between high-energy dance tunes and intimate moments that captivate and draw in the listener, this is not your Mama's typical bluegrass band! It's Almost Acoustic!
