Interstate 64 Traffic Stop in Fluvanna County
On February 13, 2026, at approximately 1700 hours, deputies with the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the 3A Task Force, the Virginia State Police, and the Albemarle County Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 64 within Fluvanna County.
During the traffic stop, law enforcement on scene executed a search warrant on the vehicle. The search yielded the following items:
- Approximately 14 pounds of marijuana
- Approximately 2 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms
- 136 concentrated THC vape cartridges
- Thousands of dollars in U.S. currency
- Two firearms
As a result of the investigation, three adult males were arrested.
Kameron Shearn (age 34 from Yorktown, VA) and Corwin Baker (age 39 from Chesterfield, VA) have been charged with the following Virginia Code violations:
- VA Code § 18.2-248: Manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute a controlled substance
- VA Code § 18.2-248.1: Selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with intent to sell, give, or distribute marijuana
- VA Code § 18.2-308.4: Possession of a firearm while in possession of certain controlled substances
Christopher Edwards (age 34 from Richmond, VA) has been charged with the following Virginia Code violations:
- VA Code § 18.2-248: Manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute a controlled substance
VA Code § 18.2-248.1: Selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with intent to sell, give, or distribute marijuana
Sheriff Eric B. Hess would like to extend his sincere appreciation to the members of the 3A Task Force, the Virginia State Police, and the Albemarle County Police Department for their collaboration and professionalism. Sheriff Hess also recognizes the continued commitment of regional law enforcement partners in addressing the distribution of illegal narcotics within and through Fluvanna County.
