This position supervises Child Protective Services and Prevention staff that provide direct services for fostering and sustaining the social, health, economic, behavioral, and emotional functioning of individuals and families serviced by the Local Departments of Social Services. The incumbent sets and enforces objectives for quality and quantity of work performed by unit, evaluates social service programs and program budgets, and recommends policy changes based on evaluation of program effectiveness.

Fluvanna 4-H Youth Development program seeks individual to work with 4-H staff, youth, adults, families, and community resources to deliver and evaluate 4-H educational programs designed to teach life skills to children and families. Programs will include educational activities, contests, and camps in support of the 4-H program with special emphasis on in-school and out-of-school programming.

The County of Fluvanna, VA is accepting applications for a full time Senior Program Assistant within the Community Development Department.  This position provides a variety of technical and administrative assistance for long-range and current planning, zoning, and economic development activities.

Fluvanna County, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Assistant Director for our Public Works Department.  Under general supervision of the Public Works Director, the Assistant Director provides day-to-day direction, management, and oversight of the Building Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, and Custodial Service divisions.  The Assistant Director also performs project management duties: oversees small tenant improvement and remodel projects, and prepares written and verbal technical reports to the Public Works Director, County Administrator, and external agencies, as required.

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a part-time Deputy Sheriff position. This is a sworn position that may work in courts, patrol, or administrative support as needed. Fluvanna County, is seeking a full-time Public Works Director.  Under the general supervision of the County Administrator, the Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all county-wide public works functions, projects, operations, and staff.  The Public Works Department consists of approximately 22 staff members and encompasses the operational areas of building and grounds maintenance, custodial services, water and wastewater systems, irrigation, solid waste and recycling, and collaboration with VDOT on road maintenance and related projects.
