Historic Courthouse Restoration Project Community Meeting

Voter Registration Office Closed on December 5, 2025

The Fluvanna County Voter Registration office will be closed Friday, December 5, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. while maintenance is being done within the building.

Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) Solid Waste Management Plan Survey

The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) invites community members to participate in a survey to inform the region's five-year update to the Solid Waste Management Plan. The goal of this regional plan is to help Albemarle, Charlottesville, Greene, and Fluvanna Counties achieve state-mandated recycling goals and reduce landfill waste over the next 20 years.

The Convenience Center will be closed on the following dates:

Closed Thursday, October 9, 2025, and reopening on Saturday, October 11, 2025

Closed Thursday, October 16, 2025, and reopening on Saturday, October 18, 2025

Aug 28, 2025 - Incident Rolling Road South

On August 28, 2025, at approximately 4:12 PM, the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center received a call regarding a person who stated he had been shot. Units arrived on scene in the 5500 block of Rolling Road South and located a person with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The victim reported that his truck was stolen during the incident. Albemarle Police located the stolen vehicle and with the assistance of the Charlottesville Police Department, the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody.
